Born December 4, 1924, in Honolulu to Lee Len and Bertha Chock, she was raised in China from age 6 mos., where she married Chong Wai Kin Young and had 3 daughters. Returned to Hawaii in 1953 and had 3 sons. Bertha worked at Mun Lun School, Kwong On, Kahala Hilton, King's Daughters Home, and partnered in family businesses Young's Noodle Factory and Won Ton & Things.
Survived by six children: Judi (Bill) Fong, Carol (Wayne) Ching Tomita, Linda "Lilly" (Sam) Dowling, Ron (Carol) Young, Jed (Judi) Young, and Ben (Cathy) Young; 18 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. Also survived by siblings, Larry, Calvin, and Thelma Lee, and Betty Ontai-Chang.
Her faith in God and ever expanding family brought joy to her life, and she filled every room with laughter.
