87, of Kaneohe, a Korean War Marine Corps veteran and retired entomologist for the Hawaii State Department of Agriculture, passed away on October 21, 2021 at home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by son, Ryan; daughters, Susan (Jeffrey) Washiashi and Shelley Funasaki; brothers, Walter (Carole) and Henry (Marjory); sisters, Nancy Kawamura and Evelyn (Arnold) Giroux; and grand- children, Brandon Washiashi and Lindsey Washiashi.
