Juliet Shimabukuro
Juliet Shimabukuro On November 14, 2021, Juliet Afaga Shimabukuro entered Heaven at the age of 63. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on March 14, 1958. Her life was expressed with joy, love and kindness to everyone around her.
She is missed by her husband Dean Shimabukuro; sons Ryan (Pua), and Brent (Ihilani Haru); sisters: Pat Sterling (Fred), Susana Bowman and Lorna Afaga, as well as her extended family. A major bright spot in her life are her two grandchildren, Kimi and Kaizen Shimabukuro.
Juliet loved family gatherings and celebrations and played a big part in raising all of her nephews and nieces. She expressed her passions and creativity in many ways including her work as a dental hygienist, Filipiniana Dance Company Assistant Director, baking, gardening, and painting. Juliet will always be remembered for her smile, generosity, her inner kindness, humility and her lovely Aloha spirit.
A funeral mass will be held on January 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Resurrection of the Lord Church in Waipio. Family requests no flowers and aloha attire. Masks and social distancing are required.
