Floyd Masami Shinke
Floyd Masami Shinke70, of Honolulu, Hawai'i, passed away on October 26, 2021. He was born in Lihue, Kaua'i on August 23, 1951. Before becoming disabled Floyd worked in construction as a union carpenter. He loved watching sports, movies, and John Wayne reruns. He used to fight with his brother over the Celtic/ Lakers rivalry. They're probably both at it again in Heaven. Floyd loved the New York Yankees and went to one of their baseball games in Anaheim, CA. It was Yankees vs Angels and he had a great time. He was also a big Tom Brady fan. Family was very important to Floyd and he would do anything for his kids. Before his dialysis started in 2014 he enjoyed going to Las Vegas and drinking his Bud Light, playing craps and the Buffalo slot machine. He was always with his son and they were like two peas in a pod. Floyd is survived by his Son, Robert and Daughter, Shannon (Ron); Sisters, Iris (Henry) and Charlene; Nieces and Nephews. Floyd was a simple soul and was loved deeply. He'll forever be missed. Services will be held at O'ahu Mortuary on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 12 noon.
