On August 4, 2021, Valentine Eldred Pualii Freitas was greeted at the gates of Heaven by his loving wife Henrietta Pomroy Freitas who pre-deceased him. He was an outstanding athlete at Saint Louis High School and served 12 years in the Army. He retired from the Honolulu Fire Dept. as Captain at Central, Station 1. He was 89 years old and is survived by sons Eldred "Pupi" (Carrie), Sam and Harry "Hale" (Sandra). Grandchildren, Wuka, Maile, Sami, Hale, Kawika, Keenan, Sonny, Pili and Dustin and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at St. Ann's Church in Kaneohe on Jan. 21, 2022 with viewing at 8:30 am, Mass at 9:30 am and Honor Guard and internment at Punchbowl at 11:30 am. May God bless us all.
