Long-time Hawaii Kai resident, Ginger Jellings, age 76, passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of December 30, 2021 with her family by her side. Ginger leaves behind her husband of 55+ years, David; a daughter, Kimberly Likewise (husband-Roger) currently of Colorado Springs, CO; three handsome & talented grandsons-Kainoa, Makena & Keanu; a brother, Herb Jewell (wife-Judy) of Poulsbo, WA; & numerous family members, friends, & coworkers. Ginger grew up in southern California and graduated from college in Los Angeles - where she met David (from Nanakuli, HI). After graduating, Ginger and David married and then returned to Hawaii. Over the decades, Ginger worked for Honolulu Iron Works, Dillingham Corp, Bishop Trust Co & Bank of Hawaii - before retiring in 2015. Her free-time pursuits over the years included baking, walking, running, reading, sewing & her pets (dog-Summer; cat-Koko). Her life passions, though, were her husband, daughter, grandsons, family, friends & coworkers. Ginger will be sorely missed & remain forever in our hearts & memories. "Moe i ka maluhia makuahine... a hui hou kakou." (Rest in peace mom...until we meet again) No public services are planned.
