72Born and educated in Honolulu, Ethel met her husband of 55 years, Richard Nobuo "Pork Chop" Takehara, in Chicago, IL, where they resided in the suburb of Des Plaines for 42 years before retiring to Las Vegas in 1995. Richard passed away in March 2011 and Ethel continued to live in Las Vegas, the ninth Hawaiian island, where she had many dear friends.
A private burial service will be conducted on January 27, 2022 at her final resting place on Oahu - Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery in Kaneohe.
