Carinthia Urbanette "Urbie" Kunewa- Armitage, our dear mother, step-mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, she will be sorely missed. There are not enough words to describe her impact on the lives of so many and the agonizing grief that we all share through her loss. She was born on August 27, 1954 and returned home to the lord, our father God, at the age of 67 on August 28, 2021. She was a devout Christian and a firm believer in the word of God. She was a very accomplished woman and excelled in life, she had a doctorate in psychology, a Masters degree in Social Work, 2 Bachelors degrees, a Hawaiian Studies Associates degree, was fluent in the Hawaiian language, and helped so many in the community. Through all of her amazing accomplishments she raised 6 children and was a steady presence in her 19 grandchildren and 8 great- grandchildren's lives, whom she is survived by. Her sons are, George "Bodie" Armitage, Daven Armitage, & Keoni Armitage, 3 girls, Marvel Mahuka, Chanelle Jones, & Michelle Wond, her sister, Wallette Nagaishi and her brother Lance fox, many nieces and nephews as well. There will be a Celebration of life ceremony at Maili beach park on February 26, 2022 from 2pm till 6pm.
