Harry Shigeru Kikuyama, “Shige”
Passed away on December 25, 2021. He was born on February 21, 1930, and raised in Kakaako was a proud McKinley High School "Tiger", Class of '48. In his earlier days, like his brothers, he trained and boxed for the YMA Boxing Club. A green thumb gardener, a golf swing like Nicklaus, and a smooth karaoke voice singer, he was a long-time resident of Pearl City. He was well respected in the moving company industry as he wore many hats; union steward, lead warehouseman, forklift operator, mechanic and detailer/ painter of all the company's trucks. At home, he was "Mr. Fix-It". He is predeceased by wife, Elizabeth. Survived by daughter Gloria (Wesley) Uyehara, son Michael (Gail) Kikuyama, daughter Julie (Greg) Kikuyama-Soga, six grandchildren, 11 great- grandchildren, his sister Nancy Gushikuma and brother-in-law Franklin (Mako) Kobayashi. Due to world-wide situation, the family will hold private services.
