64, of Waipahu, passed away on January 7, 2022. She was born on April 26, 1957 in Wahiawa, Hawaii. Elizabeth graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a Bachelor of Arts degree and was later licensed as a Special Education Teacher by the State of Hawaii Department of Education. She started her teaching career at Aiea Hongwanji, and then at Dole Intermediate School as a Special Education Teacher until retirement. She was also a employee of Sears Department Stores after school and on weekends. She loved hula and was a dedicated student/ performer with Na Maka O Pu'uwai Aloha Hula & Performing Arts Studio. She is predeceased by parents Moises and Caridad Ancheta, Elizabeth (Lisa) is survived by brother Albino (Rowena) Ancheta; sisters Oliva (Prudencio) Bermudes, Erlinda; nieces Sandra, Nanette, Denelle, Sharon, Jessica, Geraldine; nephews Nelson, Ray, Eric, Christopher, Ferdinand; grand- nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 10am- 1pm at Valley of the Temples Lower Chapel. Burial to follow at 1pm. Due to COVID-19 masks must be worn throughout the entire service.
