FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Mollie Nobuyo Kaya
Mollie Nobuyo Kaya94, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on November 13, 2021, 11 years to the day since her husband, Masa, passed away. Masa was a professional golfer, introduced Mollie to the game and it became her passion. Mollie loved absorbing golf in all forms, watching her nightly K-dramas, and walking Pauoa Valley at sunrise. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her baked spaghetti, spotless home, and sweet and sassy nature, which she maintained until the end.

She was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Kiyono Tanaka, and brothers, Ray and Ralph. Mollie is survived by her siblings: Ruth (Edward) Chun and Ronald Tanaka; children: Michael (Kathleen), Adrian (Betty), Janyce (Lance) Higa, Wayne and Daralynne; grandchildren: Michelle Kaya, Brandon (Toko) Kaya, Lindsey Higa, Jordan Higa, Landon Lau (deceased), Ethan Lau, Holden (Emma Wo) Lau, Ashley (Matt Comeau) Lau, Stacy Lau, and Austin Lau; and great-grand- children: Rylie, Ryker, Axyl, Kaila, Keisen, and Isla. Private services were held and her inurnment service was at the National Cemetery of the Pacific.
