Randolph Tarn Sung Chang
Randolph Tarn Sung Chang82, of Kaneohe, died on January 06, 2022. A Past Potentate of the Aloha Temple of the Shrine of North America and Past Grand Master of the Free and Accepted Masons of the State of Hawaii, holding both offices in the same year, Most Worshipful & Potentate Randy T.S. Chang served as Master of Hawaiian Lodge in 1993 and 1994. A former member of the Board of Governors for the Shriners Hospital for Children, Honolulu Unit, he served in many capacities in the Shrine Temple, including that of Director General of the Western Shrine Association Conference in Honolulu in 1996. A Knight Commander of the Court of Honor Scottish Rite mason, Past Venerable Master of the Lodge of Perfection and was a member of the Red Cross of Constantine, an honorary body of the York Rite Masons. Brother Randy Chang was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Harmony Chapter #4, and the Royal Order of the Jesters, Court #1. He was a member of the Acacia Club, a Masonic organization in San Francisco. Survived by his best friend, Harriet Chang, and six children, Natalie (Roger) Young, Suzanne (Edward) Logan, Randolph Chang, Jeffrey (Cora) Chang, Patrice (Gregory) Perrin and David (Lainie) Chang, fourteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Three brothers and two sisters, Raymond (Dorothy) Chang, Richard (Kathy) Chang, Robert Chang, Lenore Ching and Jaqueline (Philip) Wong. Two of his three sons are also Master Masons of Hawaiian Lodge. A retired businessman and entrepreneur, M.W. & Potentate Randy enjoyed a variety of spare time activities, he was an accomplished carpenter, enjoyed racing cars, and boating with his children. Collecting tools was his favorite hobby but most of all, loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services are Private.
