FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Daniel Lee Colin
Daniel Lee Colin, of Kailua, passed away February 7, 2022 at the age of 82. Born in Chicago in 1939, the son of late Lee and Mary Colin, he graduated from San Francisco State University in 1960.

Dan was no stranger to hard work. He started working at the age of 12, always challenging himself, which led to an amazing career. He married his sweetheart Carolyn in 1962 and held her close for almost 60 years. In 1974 opportunity brought his family to Hawaii and he never looked back.

Dan led several financial institutions in his tenure, including Vice President/Hawaii General Manager of Fidelity Pacific Company and President of Territorial Savings Bank. After 25 years with Territorial, Dan retired in 2007.

In addition to Dan's success in corporate America, he served the community in many other positions. He served as the President of the Rotary Club of Metropolitan Honolulu, as well as serving as the Director for the club's foundation. Additionally, Dan served in the California Army National Guard, on the Board of Directors for HMSA and Catholic Charities, as well as the Board of Regents for Chaminade University. Furthermore, Dan was very active in Hawaii's soccer community acting as a referee for many seasons. In Dan's free time he enjoyed time with friends, including the Greedy Geezers, ROMEO, and Summit meetings. He will be missed by many.

Funeral Services were held Friday, February 18, 2022 at St. Anthony's Church in Kailua.

Dan is survived by his beloved wife Carolyn Colin, formerly Graner, and his three children, Brian Colin of Winthrop WA, Mary Stidham of Bellingham WA, and Kathy Latham of St Pete Beach FL, along with his four cherished grandchildren Malia, Ian, Lily, and Ale'a. He is also survived by his sister Mary Lou Ragghianti.
