FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Goichi “Go” Toyooka
Age 90, of Pearl City, died February 7, 2022. Born in Captain Cook, Hawaii, he was a retired Funds administration planning estimator at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. Go was drafted into the US Army and served in Korea during the war there.

Go loved sports and was a loyal Dodgers fan. He ran a bowling league in Kalihi and took care of Shop 38's softball team. Pearl City Little League took a lot of his time as a coach and as a member of the Pearl City Umpires Association. He looked forward to being with his Konawaena High School class of 49 classmates during their reunions. Many happy days were spent in his retirement with his coffee friends at Pearlridge mall and his visits to Las Vegas.

Goichi is survived by his wife Takie, son Lance, daughters Lori-Ann Alves (Michael), Francine Cardoza (Alan), and Charissa Toyooka. Five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. His funeral services will be held at the National Memorial Cemetary of the Pacific on March 2, 2022 at 11:30am. This will be a private service and family has requested no flowers or gifts.
