YASUO NAKAMURA
"Ya-san" was born to Nobuzo Nakamura and Masa Nakahara in Honolulu on May 27, 1926 and graduated from McKinley High School and the University of Hawaii College of Engineering. He served honorably in the U.S. Army until his discharge (1947) and worked as a naval architect at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard for 35 years until retiring in 1986.
Yasuo married Julia K. Akana on March 28, 1953, and made Pearl City their home in December of 1960. Favorite pastimes were going to Vegas and watching the Stock market.
Predeceased by four brothers and one sister, he is survived by his wife of 68 years; 8 children; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and extended family.
