DONALD PUANAALA KAOPUIKI, SR.

Donald Puanaala Kaopuiki Sr., 90, of Waianae, Oahu, passed away peacefully on Jan 24, 2022, at the Chinese Palolo Home in Honolulu. Donald was born on October 8, 1931, to Howard Kaopuiki Sr and Victoria Zablan Kaopuiki of Papakolea, Oahu. He married Elaine "Lei" Miranda on January 18, 1954 and retired from the US Postal Service after 32 years of dedicated service.

Donald is preceded in death by son Donald Jr and daughter Brenda Lee Akana. Donald is survived by his wife Elaine "Lei" Kaopuiki, daughter Ernalei Tamburi (Arthur), son Bernard Kaopuiki (Holly), sister Anita Tyau, 13 grandchildren, 21 great- grandchildren.

Celebration of Life will be on Thursday March 3, 2022, at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in Kaimuki. Visitation will be from 10:30am-1:30pm with service to begin at 12:00pm. There will be an Inurnment Service to follow at 3:00pm at the Punchbowl National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
