Toshiko graduated from Leilehua High School and after WWII married Robert Todani. She spent most of her working career as a receptionist and medical assistant to Drs. Timothy Wee, Daniel Whang, and Edmund Whang at a clinic in Wahiawa.
After retirement she and Robert traveled extensively to the mainland, Europe, and Asia. She also loved to garden and sew. She had a green thumb & an extensive garden filled with anthuriums, orchids, tropical fruits, and flowers. She was also a prolific seamstress who made most of her own clothes and that of her children. After taking lessons in quilting, she produced many Hawaiian quilts and patchwork quilts for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her family will also miss her great cooking and the weeks' worth of food she would prepare for them on weekends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert and five siblings. She is survived by her daughter Lorna (Steve) Curry of San Francisco; son David (Susan) of Honolulu; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren and brother Ishio (Rocky) Mishina.
