She attended Kekaha Elementary School; graduated Waimea High School; Class of 1976, then graduated BYU-H, Laie in 1980.
She served a full-time mission for 18 months in Buenos Aires Norte for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as Hermana Kua.
Her career was focused in the insurance industry; from Workers' Compensation (John Mullen & Company), Medical (Summerlin); and No-fault (GEICO). However, she also worked for the Hotel Industry (Local 5) and Hawaii State Legislature (for a Big Island Rep) for short periods.
She leaves behind her brothers, Melvin Jr (Bones) and Kenway; and sisters Uilani Wright and Pua Nihipali, as well as their families. (Private graveside services on Kauai)
