FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

LYNETTE “AKUT” KUULEI YAU KUT NIAU
LYNETTE 77, of Honolulu, was finally called home after a 2 year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born Kauai on November 30, 1944 to Ernest Quon Po Apana and Christina Akio Aki Apao. A Kapaa High School graduate she various occupations before retiring. A talented musician she sang with her sisters the "Apana Sisters". She was dedicated to the church and her children and grandchildren. She moved to Oahu to obtain medical care and passed at home surrounded by family.

She is survived by her sisters Dorna (Justin) Ginden Mahelona, (Nevada) Beverly (late Ernest) Muroaka (Kauai), and brother Russell (Lori) Apana (Washington). Children Celine Nelsen (Jeff Wong), Stevette (Brad) Santiago, Floyd (Eva) Niau and five grandchildren, Braeden Santiago, Logan (Yana) Santiago & Nicholas Santiago, Amare Owsley, and Louis Niau. Hanai children Barry and Kahea White Jr. She is also beloved by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Services for Oahu and Kauai will be at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 10 a.m. Public Viewing; 11 a.m. Services at Anahola Ward - Kapaa Chapel 4561 Ohia Street, Kapaa, Kauai, HI
