FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Masayuki Otsuji
89, of Honolulu, passed with peace and grace on February 26, 2022. Born on Molokai in 1932, Masayuki graduated from McKinley High School, joined the US Army in 1950, and served in the Korean War. As a civilian, he worked for the US Postal Service and later ran a produce market in the Chinese Cultural Center called Farm Fresh. He was married to Keiko on February 1956 and just celebrated their 66th Wedding Anniversary.

A passionate orchid fancier, Masayuki served as vice-president and president of the Hawaii Kai Orchid Club. Throughout his life he maintained deep ties to his roots in Japan by serving as an active member of the Kagoshima Ken Society.

He is survived by wife Keiko; son Glen Jun Otsuji; grandchildren Ryan Vaughn Mabellos, Melanie Reiko Terry, and Kalena Masanori Otsuji. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter Kathleen Hideko Otsuji.
