FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Grace Ayano Fujioka
Grace Ayano FujiokaOur beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother passed away on February 1, 2022, at 98 years young.

Grace was born in Honolulu on December 21, 1923 to Otozo and Megumi Yoshimoto. Our family will remember that she was kind and caring. She was always there supporting and encouraging her children. She wanted her children to be kind to others.

Grace also demonstrated forbearance and fortitude. She was by nature, a "happy" person with a good temperament. She made friends easily and was well-liked. We called her the "eternal optimist."

Her greatest passion was Japanese singing and dancing. She participated in many singing performances in Hawaii and in Japan and earned a number of trophies and awards. Grace enjoyed life to the fullest and made the best of everything. Our lives were richly blessed with her love.

Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Larry S. Fujioka, and survived by daughters, Sharon Tokumoto, Beverly (Dennis) Toyozaki, and son, Dr. Russell (Renee) Fujioka, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

Private services were held at Nu'uanu Memorial Park & Mortuary LLC.
