FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Wallace Fook Wong
Wallace Fook Wong Wallace Wong, 87, was born and raised in Laie, Koolauloa on July 8, 1934. The last of his brothers, Wally loved family, friends, fishing, and sports. He joined the Marine Corps as a boxer with Special Services where he met his first wife, Shirley Kaipo Cunha (deceased). Together they raised their six children: Wallace (Malia), Theoni (Melvin), Kaulana (Kale), Mohala (Norbert), Scott, and Liloa (Robin) in Kaimuki. Wally was a labor foreman in the construction industry until he joined the film industry in 1982 with Magnum P.I. and Jurassic Park on his call sheet.
Papa Wong is survived by his children; 15 grandchildren: Keau, Keoni, Pua, Spencer, Rachel, Parker, Laieikawai, Joshua, Anastasia, Raven, Tristan, Sienna, Taylor, Laakea, Bella and 9 great grandchildren: Kaya, Dylan, Ruth, Selah, Mamane, Nico, Milo, Grace and Lyla-Rein.
He married Jackie Doreen Aalona-Wong (deceased) and extended his aloha to her family. Sons: Kimo (Sumiyo), Clellen (Luanne), Everestt (Shawn) and Judah (Lehua) and daughters, April and Venus Aalona.
Wally's final years were spent back in the family home in Kaimuki. We will remember his strength, passion, and endurance from Laie-boy to a man who lived on his own terms.

Services on April 22, 2022. Visitation: 10:00 a.m.; Service: 11:30 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Laie 7th Ward.
Burial to follow at Laie Cemetery.
