CHAD KEONI HANOA55, of Honolulu, passed away on March 8th, 2022. Born on Labor Day, September 5th, 1966. Chad attended Maryknoll School and Kalani High School. He was employed by Kyo-ya Ohana LLC, Royal Hawaiian Hotel and The Sheraton Waikiki Hotel.

Chad was a true ocean loving fisherman; diving, surfcasting, wading into the ocean to get oama with his bamboo pole. He always dressed comfortably with worn out T-shirts, faded shorts and rubber slippers. He raised his pet turtles from half dollar size to over one and a half feet across, fed his lizard who would crawl to him every afternoon and two red headed cardinals who would walk to him. He is survived by parents John and Barbara (Baptist) Hanoa, brothers Jon-Kelly Keola Hanoa, Sr., Gavin Keali'i Hanoa, nephews Jon-Kelly Keola Hanoa, Jr., Jonah Kaikane Hanoa.

Services will be on Saturday, April 9th, 2022 at Maunalua Bay Park. Visitation 10:15 am, service begins at 11:00 am, 12:00 pm visitation continues. Chad's ashes were blessed by Father Francisco Delos Reyes of Mary Star of the Sea and will be lowered into the ocean at Bamboo Ridge where he loved to fish.
