Born in Hilo, he enjoyed singing with the Barbershop Quartet, playing tennis, hiking and ballroom dancing.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Linda; son Charles; daughters Donna and Pamela; grandson, Alex; sister, Doris Chun.
