Sara Margaret Asbell Epling, 84, of Waianae, Hawaii, passed away peacefully on Feb. 22, 2022. Waiting to welcome her into Heaven was her husband; Dr. Harold Epling and her beloved parents; Tom and Ima Asbell, her sisters; Anna Lee (NJ) and Jaqueline (Va. Beach). She was born March 13, 1937, and raised in Tyner, NC. She graduated from East Carolina University in 1959 with BA degree in Home Economics. As an adult she lived in Texas, and then Hawaii. She was an excellent seamstress who loved creating Hawaiian inspired attire for men, women & children. She was a long time member of her beloved church; Waianae United Methodist Church, where she met & had an extraordinary bond with Rev. Debra Murray, whom she loved and respected deeply. A very special Thank You to Imee G. and her family who took such wonderful care of her.
Sara had a way of lighting up a room whenever she entered, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial Services will be held at Waianae United Methodist Church at 12 noon on April 21, 2022.
