Janet Kim Nohara
Of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away at Maunalani Rehab Center at the age of 91 on January 27, 2022. Janet was born in Honolulu, the second of four daughters. Janet graduated from Roosevelt High School and Bowling Green State. She spent most of her career at Kahala School teaching 2nd and 3rd grade students. Janet enjoyed traveling to Asia, Europe and the West Coast with her friends and family. Her last trip was to Las Vegas with her three sisters and son. Janet also loved Korean dramas, and her pomeranian Murphy in her later years. Mom was proud of her health and enjoyed golfing, walking Murphy, and gardening to stay active. Janet was preceded in death by her eldest sister, Myrtle K. Dunn and her parents, Soo Yong and Agnes Kim. She is survived by her son Todd, sisters, Sylvian Lee and Lynne (James) Chun, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks go to the doctors and nurses at Straub ICU, the Maunalani Rehab staff, and Saint Francis Hospice for the loving care and compassion during the last weeks of her journey.
