95, of Manoa, passed peacefully surrounded by family in Maluhia 7/10/21.He was born in Kekaha, Kauai. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grand- father, and Brother. He worked for Carnation company/Eggs Hawaii for 25 years. He discovered his passion for running at age 50, and ran 10 marathons, including the Ultramarathon, of which he is most proud. He met many friends along the way, especially his running partner"Archie". He shared his joy of singing and playing his harmonica with his family, loved going to Vegas, and horse races with his wife and son: Brett and daughter-in-law-Liz.
He was a simple, honest man who had a kind word for everyone he met.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years; Miriam and his children, Brian, Bonnie, and Bobi. 7 grandchildren, 7 great- grandchildren, and his brother Norman.
Predeceased by his son, Brett.
He always said "don't cry for me when I am gone, I will be happy to meet God, and say Thank you for a wonderful Life."
A celebration of Life for family and friends will be on June 4, 2022, at Diamond Head Memorial. Visitation 1:30-2:00pm. Service at 2:00pm, with refreshments to follow.
