RONALD HUNG CHEONG CHING
RONALD HUNG CHEONG CHINGCelebrating the life of Ronald HC Ching, 78 of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away on April 18, 2022. Ronald was one of six children born to Estelle Miu Lin (Wong) and Harry Yee Ginn Ching in Honolulu, Hawaii on June 7, 1943.

Ron graduated from McKinley High School, Class of 1961. He enlisted in April of 1964 in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in March 1970. During his career in the Army he was stationed in Texas, Korea and Schofield. He later worked at Aloha Airlines as the Ramp Supervisor and retired after 42 years. Because of his good looks and charming personality, he was nicknamed by his co-workers comedian "Mel Cabang". Dad was a man that loved playing cards, chess, eating Chinese food, chocolate candies and loved his Rainbow Warriors. He was a proud member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Ron married Frances (Kamauoha) and had 3 children, daughter Noelani (Martin) Patane, son Kamae (Denise) Ching & daughter Nalani (Bronson) Haunga. He is survived by his siblings, Harry (Lei) Ching, Elizabeth "Lizo" Ferguson; Wilkins "Hapu" (Janne) Ching, 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded by his sister Esther Balderas.

Ronald's Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday, May 19, 2022.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
Hawaii Kai Chapel (219 Lunalilo Home Road).
Visitations 9am–10:30am, Services to begin 10:30am-11:30am
with the burial to follow at the Hawaii Veterans Cemetery–Kaneohe at 1pm.
Funeral Arrangements were made by Nuuanu Mortuary Honolulu, Hawaii.
