FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

WALLACE “WALLY” AKIO NAKAHIRA AND CECILIA “COCO, CECI” EIKO KUULEIALOHA NAKAHIR
Wallace and Cecilia were soulmates who married on March 14, 1998 at Wahiawa Ryusenji Soto Mission. Together, they blissfully enjoyed 23 years of marriage doing almost everything together from working in the yard tending to their prized orange trees to taking trips to Vegas and Canada and going on cruises. Wallace passed away on September 9, 2021 and Cecilia joined her loving husband in heaven on September 20, 2021.

Wallace was born in 1957 to Shigeru and Evelyn Nakahira. After graduating from Waialua High School and Honolulu Community College, he went to work for the City and County of Honolulu, Department of Transportation Services. After more than 31 years, he retired in 2015 as a Traffic Signal Electrician Supervisor. Wally had a playful, giving and loving heart that supported Cecilia in all her endeavors. He enjoyed playing cards with his brothers-in-law and good friends and sharing his ono dishes at potlucks.

Cecilia was born in 1958 to Richard and Margaret Tanigawa. After graduating from Waipahu High School, she started her career in the travel industry and ended as a Civil Process Server. Coco had the biggest and kindest heart for her family and friends. She was loved by many and appreciated by all she touched. As a passionate believer in Feng Shui, she enjoyed gifting charms to everyone.

Wally is survived by his mother Evelyn Nakahira, sister Pearl Poaha, and brother John Nakahira. Coco is survived by her brothers Richard, James, Clinton, Jonah and Brad, sister Emi Ehrler and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. It is with a heavy heart that we say aloha to these two precious souls, but they will live on forever in our hearts.

Private services were held.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
