Bruce Brian Miyashiro known as "Kauai Bruce", 67, was embraced by God's Grace on June 15, 2021, Honolulu, HI, surrounded by his friends and loving niece Melissa Miyashiro. Bruce was born on June 9th, 1955 on the island of Kauai to the late Marian Setsuko Ouye and Wilson Iwao Miyashiro, Sr. Bruce was also preceded in death by his Grandparents, James and Emma Ouye, Yeiyu and Matsue Miyashiro, his sister, "Jeannie" Uluwehi Miyashiro, brother, Joel Puuwai Miyashiro, Sr. and most recently the loss of his niece, Sara Miyashiro. Survived by sisters Leinani, Bridget and Marcia, brothers "Sonny" (Karen), David (Patricia) and "Toppy" (Cherie) Miyashiro, and many Nieces and Nephews.Bruce's appreciation and love for Hawaiian music would cause him go to wherever they were playing just to listen. He soon became known to all as "Kauai Bruce".
All who knew Bruce are invited to attend his Celebration of Life Service held on Saturday, June 4th, 2022, 12 pm - 6 pm at Momilani Community Center, 715 Hoomoana St, Pearl City, HI 96782. Services on Kauai will be announced at a later date. In lieu of gifts or flowers, we ask that donations be made to Pali Momi Stroke Care Fund at give2palimomi.org
