80, of Kailua, HI, passed away on May 20, 2022. Mona was born on August 5, 1941, in Dubuque, Iowa, and graduated from Kailua High School in 1959. Mona establish Kahala Creations and Mahalo Mona, both successful wholesale businesses that manufactured Hawaiian fabric gift items. She also opened two Kailua retail stores, a ladies' boutique called Mahalo Mona, and a children's store called Keli Loves Malia. She is survived by her husband Charles, daughter Joni, and sons Kevin and Steven, eight grand- children and two great-grand- children. A celebration of Mona's life will be held on June 9th at 11:00-2:00 at Koolau Ballroom and Conference Center in Kaneohe, HI. Aloha or casual attire. Masking is requested.
