Frances Maluhia Parker Andrus
Frances Maluhia Parker Andrus, 98 of Kaneohe, Hawaii passed away on May 25, 2022. She was born June 6, 1923 in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Arthur Kapewaokeao Waipa Parker and Eva Margaret Vieira Parker. She graduated from St. Andrews Priory in 1941 and worked for the Army Corp of Engineers during WWII. Frances served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Japan after the war. She married Paul Charles Andrus on July 5, 1952 in the Laie Temple. They served as mission president over the Northern Far East Mission (Japan, Korea and Okinawa) from 1955 - 1962. Frances was a true disciple and example of Jesus Christ. She was a dedicated member of the church and she served faithfully as Stake Primary and Stake Relief Society president. She especially loved teaching in Primary and Sunday School. She worked for the DOE and retired on her 80th birthday. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul. They have five children. Vaun (Shawna), Chuck (Kit), LaVerna (Rick), Jay (Nalani) and Eva Maile (Steve). They have seven grandchildren and 19 great- grandchildren. Mahalo to the many kind and dedicated people who faithfully served Mom over the years from the Kaneohe 3rd Ward; also, mahalo to Dr. Julia Park and the Kaiser home health professionals. Funeral services will be held on June 22, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Waikalua chapel, 45-150 Waikalua Rd, Kaneohe, Hawaii. Private family viewing. Burial following funeral at 2:00 p.m. at Kaneohe Veterans Cemetery, 45-349 Kamehameha Highway.
