Harriet Hoopai-Phillips
Harriet Hoopai-Phillips 87, born September 24, 1934, in Honolulu, O'ahu. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on October 25, 2021, under hospice care at her home in Utah.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wilfred Hoopai-Phillips, and her sons Paul Kaipo (Malia) Newhouse, and Steven Manuailehua (Robin) Newhouse.
Harriet is survived by daughters: Winona Lolofie (Willie), Leanne VaiVai (Peter), Michaell Nelson, Cheyenne Hampton, Catherine Hampton-Fujihara (Wayne); 22 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and one more on the way; 9 great-great-grandchildren; siblings: Madeline (Kanaina), Jo Ann (Kanaina) Robb-Bell (deceased), Charlene (Kanaina) Goeas, Wilma (Hoopai) Sparacio, William Hoopai, Lorelei (Jantos) Hoopai, Kendall Hoopai, Babette Hoopai, Roland Hoopai.
She was an amazing and hardworking woman full of life, love and laughter. She was a "go getum" kind of lady. To know her was a true blessing and she would leave a lasting impression on all who knew her. A loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grams, and tutu mama to many and will be very dearly missed.

A Celebration of life will take place in Maui on Sunday,
June 19, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. with internment along with her husband
Wilfred Hoopai-Phillips at St. John's Episcopal Church in Keokea.
