The first love of his life was his Ohana; Wife Kathleen; Sons Joseph lll and Josiah; Daughters Tita (Tracy) Kim and Joelle (Kea) Hussey; Grandsons: Kea Jr. (Macey), Alapaki, Alakea, Alanui Hussey and Josiah Jr. (Harley) and Jayce Akau; Granddaughters: Poni Akau, Akilah and Alisha Kim and Kawai Hussey; GGrandsons: Kanelo Hussey, Judah and Kaulanakila Akau; GGrandaughter Ekahi Zapata; Brother Ernest (Ampaywan) Akau and Sister Esterae (Curt) Hagen. Many nieces nephews and a lot of special Leialoha cousins.
The second love of his life was the Honolulu Police Dept. where he performed exemplary duties with the greatest crews ever from Motor Patrol, Vice, Homicide and finally retiring as a Lieutenant of Detectives.
Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 18th, 2022, at Mililani Mortuary, Downtown.
