URSULA DORIS JOHANNA YEEUrsula, 85, a month before 86, of Kaneohe, passed away on April 26, 2022 in Honolulu. She was born on May 28, 1936 in Mannheim, Germany as the first of four children to Wilhelm and Luise Meinberg, whose family tree dates back to 1685. She grew up in Mannheim, attended schools in Germany and survived the WWII destruction. While working for the US Army in Heidelberg, she met and married Captain Walter Yee. Together they raised three sons and a daughter in Hawaii, her home, for 65 years. She had many relatives and dear friends throughout the world. Ursula was the Matriarch of our family, loved her children and raised them to become successful in life.

Ursula is survived by her husband, Walter, sons Oliver, Patrick (Diane), Kurtis, daughter Debbie (Todd) Bridge, 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, sisters Sieglinde Schmidt, Hannelore Meinberg-Ambrinac, relatives in Germany including niece Renate Schmidt, and all the members of the Yee family.

Ursula learned extensively about animals, particularly dogs. Many sought her advice on the raising and care of their pets. She was a long-time well-known breeder of the Newfoundland Dog and produced numerous litters of puppies that went to homes in Hawaii, the US mainland, Canada, Brazil and Japan. She participated in many dog shows in Hawaii, was a member of the Newfoundland Club of America and several local kennel clubs, and she served as the show secretary for the Poodle Club of Hawaii for over ten years.
