She is survived by her children, Edgar Topenio, Eduardo (Sonia) Topenio Jr., Salome (Bonifacio) Alquiza, and Engracia (Danilo) Mendoza; her grandchildren, Marc Alquiza, Gary Topenio, Kim Topenio, Robert Topenio, Tyler Topenio, Danielle Mendoza, Kayla Alquiza, and Lauren Mendoza; and her older sister, Adelaida "Deling" Suyat.
On May 3, 1970, Constancia and her four young children immigrated to join her husband in Honolulu, Hawai'i. Here, she built a strong network of friends who became like a second family that she would do anything for; they shared a mutual love for each other and made sure Constancia's family was always taken care of.
At her leisure, Constancia loved dancing, bonding with her grandchildren over good food, and when she relocated from Honolulu to San Jose to be closer to her family - she especially enjoyed chatting on the phone to catch up with her closest friends.
Constancia's warmth, generosity, and charm will be deeply missed by all the lives she's touched; though she is no longer physically with us, the values and life lessons she's shared along the way live on in our everyday lives.
Memorial services and burial will be held at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park from 9am - 12pm on Wednesday, June 22, 2022.
