80, of Pearl City, Hawaii, passed away on October 3, 2021 at home. She was born in Koloa, Kauai on June 5, 1941, to Filomino Bartolome and Shizuko Matsumoto Ota. She graduated from Waimea High School and a proud alumi of the Class 1959. Irene began her career working as a sales clerk at Big Save in Eleele (Port Allen), Kauai and later for Hawaii Federal IAM & AW Machinist Union LL1998 and for Painter & Tapers Union in Honolulu. In her retirement years, she enjoyed baby sitting her grand children and later her great-grandchildren. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and love her passion of sewing.
Irene is survived by her husband, Mauro Madrid, Jr.; son, James Madrid (Shari Fujioka); daughter Elizabeth Madrid (Ryan Aoki); Sister's Doris Asako Bartolome be (Stanley Erlandiz), Hatsuko (Larry) Kojima (deceased); grand- children Arrissa Madrid, Jamesson Madrid (Tori Murakami), Kayla Madrid; great-grandchildren Shalynn Madrid-Funakoshi, Rylynn Abear, Jaxtyn Abear, Taytum Madrid and Blayke Madrid.
Visitation: Saturday, June 25, 2022, visitation 9:30am, Memorial Services 10:00am at Mililani Mortuary Makai Chapel.
