Immediately following his graduation from Saint Louis High, he joined the US Air Force and after 2 tours of duty spent in Alaska, Europe and Latin America, Sgt. John-Jason Lee returned home and worked in telecommunications for Hawaiian Telephone on Kauai. Interested in the digital world and artificial intelligence, he incorporated and was the CEO of Apilation.ai. Inc. which primarily operates in the computer software development business and provides data analytics.
He is survived by wife Cynthia, step-daughter Cindy Ferrer and step-son Tico Ferrer, as well as daughters Michelle, Kalehua, Kaimana and sons Kawika and Keone. He is also survived by his father, Gordon Lee, step-mother Ivy and mother Joan Peterson. His brothers are Jeffrey-James, Jeremy-Joel, Darryl-Murray, sisters Darralyn-Nani, Charmaine-Keala, Desiree-Maile, Carla-Pumpkin and Ivy-Noki.
A military service was held on April 9, 2022, part of his ashes were interred at the Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
A joint celebration of life ceremony honoring John-Jason and his brother, Joey-Jordan who passed away on November 1, 2020 will be held on Saturday, July 9th at the Saint Louis High Mystical Rose chapel, 3142 Waialae Avenue at 10:30 am. Following this service, his remaining ashes will be placed into the sea he so loved.
