On Saturday, May 28, 2022, Kealiiokonaikalewa Ortiz Vasques, beloved grandson, brother, uncle, and friend passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 33.Kealii was born on July 9, 1988 in Honolulu to Benjamin and Darrelgene. He will be remembered for his quirky, yet intelligent, sense of humor, his kind, compassionate heart, and his love for learning about different religions, cultures, and their languages. He was an old soul who was dedicated to his church, family, and career who also especially found joy in the little things, one in particular was his love for Twinkies.
Kealii was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by grandmother Eleanor; sisters Wendy (John), Michele, Monica, and Mellissa (Mike); nephew Kainalu and nieces Kaimana, Bella, Mahina, and Leora.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Oahu Mortuary in Nuuanu from 4-8pm. Aloha casual attire. NO FLOWERS please.
