He was born in Hilo and is survived by his wife, Maureen (Mishima) Yamashita; son, Ray (Tracie) Yamashita; daughter, Kara (Bryan) Uegawachi; three grandchildren; sisters, Cherrie (Arthur) Amasaki and Lynne Mayeda. Private services to be held. Family requests no monetary gifts.
