Our mom, Carol Shimada, sadly passed away on June 1st, 2022, in Honolulu, Hawaii. We are so proud of her extensive career and impressive leadership as the Director of System Total Rewards at The Queen's Health Systems. She worked incredibly hard and loved sharing the fruits of her labor with her two girls. Our mom overcame many health issues but continued to rise above each of them over the last two years. Once able to, she lived her best life by traveling to Las Vegas as much as she could, spending more time with her loved ones, and being a devoted ARMY of BTS and a lover of all Korean dramas. Our mom meant the world to our family and the beautiful community she built at Queen's. Amongst being a selfless and courageous mother, she was also a true friend, a dedicated colleague, and an admirable leader. She was such a force to be reckoned with and will be missed by all. She is survived by her two daughters Brie and Kylie. We are confident our mom would be so overwhelmed with joy to see how her team and best friends from The Queen's Health Systems have stepped in to take care of and protect us. We are eternally grateful for your support. We vow to make her proud and move forward as the strong and fearless daughters she raised us to be. Private service.
