50, of Mililani, passed away at Kaiser Hospital in Moanalua in the early morning hours of April 2, 2022. She was born on March 27, 1972 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Surrounded in love during her final days by friends and family, Christie fought hard till the end and was able to reach her goal of celebrating her 50th birthday at home with family.She was a Staff Nurse for 26 years at Kaiser Permanente. During her career, she worked in doctor's offices, Kaiser Moanalua Hospital, She was a graduate of Aiea High School (1990), Kapiolani Community College School of Nursing (1995) and the University of Hawaii School of Nursing (1997). Preceded in death by her father, David Fukuda, Christie is survived by her husband of 15 years, Dan and son, Kenichi; mother: Cynthia Fukuda; sisters: Charisse (Jonathan) Sakomoto and Carrie (Michael) Itoman; nephews: Logan and Anthony; nieces: Lexie and Abigail and her beloved cousin Tara Dinman who has flown back and forth and driven countless hours to be there for her in her time of need.
The only thing Christie loved more than traveling and Korean food was being Kenichi's mom. She was known for being the mom that hand crafted treats for every occasion and she made sure Kenichi was her top priority in life. She loved her family and had so many great friends. It was evident that she touched the lives of many. She will be truly missed.
Celebration of Life has been scheduled for Saturday July 9, 2022 at Mililani Mortuary, Mauka Chapel, 5:00pm viewing; 6:00pm service. Casual attire welcome.
