Diana was born on April 27, 1940, in Maunaloa, Molokai, where she lived until graduating from Molokai High School in 1958. After graduation she moved to Oahu and married Harry Maikui, Sr. (dec.) and had four children: John Maikui, Raymond (Jobie) Maikui (dec.), Tracy Noe (George) Aiwohi and Harry (Kaui) Maikui.
In 1973 she married Ronald T. Soares (dec.), had two more children Chad (Nicole) Soares, Rondelle (Blaisdell) Ayau and welcomed John Soares, Ted (Patty) Soares, Sandy (Brett) Spinn, and Derek (Gina) Parsons.
Diana was a gift from God to her children and was always behind them no matter what they did. Her love was unconditional and she embraced each of them with her joyful spirit. She loved to sing and play the ukulele. She also enjoyed the precious moments she spent with her sisters Becky Casson, Jane Rawlins, and Fay Pacheco. Her brother Terry Repoyo resides on the mainland.
A Celebration of Life for Diana will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at Mililani Memorial Park, Mauka Chapel. Visitation: 5:00 p.m.; Celebration of Life: 6:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will also be held on Saturday, July 30th, at St. Damien Church, Kaunakakai, Molokai.
