Walter Yukio Hiranaka, age 94, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on June 14, 2022, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loved ones. Walter found a passion for baseball at a young age, and turned his passion into an athletic scholarship at the University of Hawai'i, before transferring to Colorado University, where he graduated with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Pharmacology. Shortly after graduating, he married the love of his life, Violet, before leaving Hawaii for the Korean War. Walter enjoyed golfing at the Pali and Moanalua Golf Courses (especially the 19th hole), supporting the UH Rainbow Warriors, and weight training with the Pau Hana Pumpers.He is proceeded in death by his parents, brother, sister-in-law, niece, and nephew. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Violet, daughters; Lisa, Liza, (Craig), and granddaughters; Joy and Marisa, as well as numerous loving family members. Walter will forever live in our hearts and be deeply missed. Private services.
