73, of Mililani, passed away on May 12, 2022. She was born September 5, 1948 in Honolulu. A graduate of Castle High School and University of Hawaii, she retired with over 30 years as a beloved health and PE teacher in the DOE including at Leilehua and Mililani High School. Charlene is survived by daughters Christina Pang-Capello, Jackie Pang (Carrie), Sherilyn Sakamoto; grandchildren Allie Capello, Sydney Capello, Ethan Pang; father Barney Akuna; and brothers Isaac Akuna (Gloria), Bert Akuna (Geordie), and Tim Akuna. Celebration of life ceremony will be held on July 18, 2022, at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park. Visitation: 10 a.m.; Services: 11 a.m.
