Damien "Kalei" Kamai passed away peacefully on March 4, 2022 surrounded by his family and friends. Born on May 26, 1959 to Lola and David "Kinky" Kamai, Kalei was raised in Waimanalo and graduated from Kailua High School. He is survived by his two daughters - Chelsea & Carli - and his 9 siblings - Lola-Ann, David (Kawika), Margaret (Nani), Walter (Kani), Francine (Chuney), Mary Anne (Twinkle), Joseph (Awa), Bernadette (B) and Charles. Working under the carpenter's union and coaching softball for many years, Kalei was a beloved friend, coach, father and husband who touched many hearts throughout his lifetime.
Celebration of Life will be held in Waimanalo at the Queen Liliuokalani Children's Center on July 22, 2022. Gates open at 3pm. Service begins at 4pm with food to follow until 8pm. Masks recommended. Arrangements Provided By:
