Eileen Claire Early Sadowski, 4999 Mana Place, Honolulu, HI born September 11, 1949 passed May 5th, 2022 after a long battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Eileen is survived by husband Dennis Sadowski, daughters Katherine Sadowski/ Crocifisso and Kelsey Bock and grandchildren Cobain, Josephine, Evelyn and Piper, brother Patrick Early. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Dorothy and brothers Steve and Timothy. Eileen was one of four children born in Morristown, New Jersey. After graduating from Bayley Ellerd High School, she completed nurse's school and became an RN.
Eileen was a fun-loving free spirit, the caption under her high school senior year book picture says it all, "A happy soul, that all the way to heaven hath a summer's day."
Shortly after becoming a nurse, she struck out for California riding cross country in a van with a few of her friends. She worked as a nurse for a short while in the Russian River area of California before reading about a shortage of nurses in Hawaii so of course she hopped on a plane and headed for the islands, never to look back. It was on Kauai while working at Wilcox Memorial Hospital that she met Denny. They fell in love and were destined to live their lives in the beautiful Hawaiian Islands. After moving to Honolulu, Eileen had had enough with nursing and so she embarked on a short career of tour guiding with Cartan Travel, travelling with her tour members to all of the Hawaiian Islands. It was during this time that Eileen and Denny were married and then started their family. Katie and Kelsey were the joy of her life, she so loved watching and being totally involved with all of their activities. After the girls were both in grade school, Eileen went to work for Northwest Airlines as a Customer Service Agent and retired from the airlines, (Delta as they had merged with Northwest), in her later years as the PSP started affecting her abilities. Eileen was a wonderful and very loved wife for nearly 42 years, a mother of undying commitment to her daughters, a beautiful woman that welcomed anyone into her home. She will be forever in her family's hearts and be sorely missed. We love you Mom! A celebration of life is being planned for July 16th, 10:30 am with services at Star of the Sea Church followed by the celebration at the Outrigger Canoe Club from noon until 4 pm.
