Dennis "Da Moose" Kubo passed away on October 19, 2021. Born on July 19, 1949, Dennis was raised in Aiea by his parents Makoto (dec) and Thelma (dec) Kubo and graduated from Aiea High School. He was a retired USPS auto mechanic and delighted in spending his retirement with his wife and friends at Ala Moana Beach park and savoring his favorite foods from Kim Chee 7, Tatsuo's, Camellia, and Kabuki.He is survived by his wife Gerry, his siblings Flora (Dougie - dec) Akahoshi and Ronald (Donna) Kubo, Sr., and a handful of nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister, Frances Ebisu.
Dennis was a gentle man, a loving husband, brother, uncle, and friend, who took joy in bringing the blessings of happy bellies, good times, and great conversations to all his family and friends. We will miss him dearly.
Celebration of Life will be held at Ala Moana Beach Park, Site 12 (Diamond Head side of McCoy Pavillion and softball field, next to the bridge) on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. Celebration begins at 8:30 am with food to follow.
