Age 87 of Pearl City, Hawaii, passed away on May 6, 2022. He was born at his family home in Kalihi in 1935 and graduated from Farrington High School in 1953. Sanford served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in both Washington State and France. He later worked at Japan Airlines for 20 years until his retirement.
Preceded in death by wife Eleanor Kiyomi Watanabe. He is survived by daughters Lynn Watanabe (Brett Bulseco), and Wendy (Bobby) Alipio; grandson Kamanakai Alipio; sister Sandra (Wallace-dec.) Shiroma; 1 niece and 3 nephews.Private services were held.
