FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Tamotsu “Charlie” Shintaku

92, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2022. After graduating from McKinley High School, he studied at the University of Hawaii, then joined the U.S. Army and after retiring from the Army, he had a great career with Servco Pacific, Waipahu Auto.

He is survived by his wife, Ayako "Jean"; son, Gerald Shintaku; daughters Donna (Nolan) Kawano and Nancy (Michael) Yoneda; and four grandchildren, Cole, Leslie, Julia and Matthew.

Private services with full military honors were held July 1, 2022, at the National Memorial of the Pacific at Punchbowl.
